Shaleta Epps is the CEO of Legacy Clinical & Consulting Services. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 16 years of experience working with children, adults and families collectively. Shaleta earned a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Social Welfare from Virginia Commonwealth University. Shaleta continued at Virginia Commonwealth University where she earned a Master of Social Work, with a concentration in administration, planning and policy practice. After years of experience working with individuals and families, she went on to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Trauma Specialist and Certified Pre-Screener.
Through her work in community-based services, school-based services, outpatient therapy, and crisis response, she obtained extensive knowledge and skills in the areas of adolescent, adult, and family treatment and services. She specializes in treating individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, grief and loss, low self-esteem, emotional distress etc. Shaleta Epps is a native of Petersburg, VA and has a strong desire to impact individuals and families in her community and surrounding areas.
Chartrice Thorne, LCSW, CSOTP, CAADC , CSAC, CTS
Chief Administrative Officer
Chartrice Thorne is the CAO of Legacy Clinical & Consulting Services. She has been providing therapeutic services in the mental health & substance abuse field for over 15 years. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University earning a Master of Social Work – Clinical Concentration degree. After providing individual, group, and family counseling, crisis and case management services to a varied population, she went on to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider, Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, and Certified Trauma Specialist. Chartrice is also trained in the ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria.
Through her work in community-based agencies, school settings, residential facilities, and healthcare settings she has obtained extensive knowledge and skills in the areas of children, adolescents, adults, veterans, and family treatment and services. She is resourceful, adaptable, and enthusiastic about empowering individuals and families to thrive at their most optimal levels of living. She can help with issues such as substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and managing life stressors, such as marriage, parenthood, finances, etc. She enjoys mentoring, training, advocating, and providing clinical supervision to developing social workers.
